Smart Liposuction,
liposculpting, and
fat transfer

The traditional liposuction procedure has grown and changed over the years, and many new procedures have come up that are generally an improvement. Liposuction is normally used to remove unwanted fat, and a separate procedure is necessary to tighten up any loose skin. At Precision Medical, we offer SmartLipo™, which is effective at both removing unwanted deposits of fat and tightening the skin.

The SmartLipo™ Process

Traditional liposuction requires surgery with general anesthesia and extensive downtime for recovery. With SmartLipo™, a tiny laser fiber is inserted, which then melts away the surrounding fat. This fat is removed without harming any of the skin or other tissue. The main function of the laser is to tighten the skin after the fat is removed. Local anesthesia is all that is required throughout the procedure, which is another advantage over traditional liposuction.

You can experience less unwanted fat and a more toned appearance after a visit to our practice. SmartLipo™ also features a very short recovery period, which is much shorter than traditional liposuction. Patients are recommended to take it easy for a day or two, then you can return to full activities in one week.

The results from your procedure will be immediately visible, but the final results will not appear for up to a few months after surgery.

Are You A Good Candidate?

As with any body contouring procedure, patients are required to be close to or at their ideal body weight. SmartLipo™ is not a weight-loss treatment, so it is not intended to remove large amounts of fat. We also recommend that anyone considering this procedure be in relatively good health. The ideal body parts that can be treated with laser liposuction include:

  • Abdomen

  • Back
  • Waist
  • Legs

  • Arms

  • Inner & Outer thighs

  • Under the chin & neck

  • Bra fat

  • Chest (for men)

  • Breast reduction for women

The purpose of this procedure is to target stubborn fat deposits that have not seen improvement with diet and exercise alone.

Fat Transfer

The idea behind this procedure is relatively simple. The surgeon will remove fat from one area, purify it, and then inject it somewhere else on the body. This could mean a slimmer, more toned abdomen with larger breasts or buttocks.

Liposuction is the most commonly used method for fat removal. One of the qualifiers before being able to undergo fat transfer is that you have enough fat in a certain area to be able to use liposuction. If you are a thin person who is just looking to enhance the breast or buttock area, a procedure with implants may be a better option.

Once the fat has been suctioned out, it is put through a purification process to remove anything unnecessary. Then it can be injected into the desired location. Once the treatment is complete, your results will be visible almost immediately. There may be some swelling and bruising to deal with, but once those side effects have disappeared you will be able to see your beautifully contoured appearance.

Are You A Good Candidate?

It is important to have realistic expectations when considering this procedure. A fat transfer has limited abilities as far as how much size you can expect to gain. For those looking for breast augmentation, fat transfer cannot offer the same size increase as implants. Our professionals can give you a good idea of what to expect before you choose to have the surgery.

We provide fat transfer to:

  • Buttocks - also known as a Brazilian butt lift

  • Breasts
